How I got here.

I’ve been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, but it was only as an adult that the natural world began to capture my imagination. Growing up in Vancouver B.C., I felt an uneasy coexistence with this place on the edge of a steel blue ocean surrounded by malachite and ochre woods. Vibrant cities captivated - they still do (including my beloved Vancouver). In the sprawling city of Los Angeles, where I am based, you can never be bored. There’s wonderment, chaos, history, and variety at every turn, awash in painterly light criss-crossed with power lines. I’m inspired here, but it is in nature that I find my escape and where images and ideas wait for me.
